TCR Tyler Receives 2019 Tyler Award

Tyler Award Program Honors the Achievement

TYLER October 11, 2019 — TCR Tyler has been selected for the 2019 Tyler Award in the Computer Consultant category by the Tyler Award Program.

Each year, the Tyler Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. We have recently been made aware of a scam targeting NCR Aloha users.  Individuals fraudulently positioning themselves as NCR Support are attempting to gain access to computer systems and EDC software by directing the customer to the website www.fastsupport.com or a similar website. Fastsupport.com is a website associated with the GoToAssist and LogMeIn remote access solutions. These are not NCR products and are not used by NCR to support the Aloha solution suite.

Fraudulent support calls are not uncommon. To combat such scams, make sure your employees are educated and understand the valid support procedures for your organization. Make sure they never share their usernames or passwords with a 3rd party. Make sure they take a trust and verify approach to anything that appears suspicious, and that there is a clear and defined escalation process to report anything out of the ordinary.

If you have been contacted by someone and directed to go to fastsupport.com for them to access your system, please run a malware/virus scan on your computer and contact us immediately.
